About this manual
The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (“PAIA”) gives you the right to request records held by a private body, subject to certain grounds for refusal. This manual tells you how to make that request, what records WRDO holds, and what fees apply.

Records held by WRDO
WRDO holds records in the following categories:
Company records
Registration documents and memorandum of incorporation
Financial statements, tax records, and invoices
Contracts and agreements with service providers and partners
User records
Account records: one WRDO account ID and the phone numbers, WhatsApp identifiers, email addresses and social or app logins linked to it
Addresses and location information
Language and other preferences WRDO remembers to help you
Conversation history across all WRDO channels
Quotes, bookings, orders, tickets, tips, household payments and reviews
Payment records (amount, date, method, reference). Card details are held by our payment processor, not by WRDO
Diggies and referral records
Business and partner records
Names, contact details and service areas
Services offered, availability, and pricing
Reviews, transaction history and payout records (bank account numbers are kept masked)
Payout identity details (name and ID number) and results of the checks for the Verified on WRDO badge
Technical and operational records
System logs and error reports

How to request access
Complete the prescribed form. Use the request form for access to a record of a private body. It is available on the Information Regulator’s website or you can request it by emailing [email protected].
Send the form to [email protected], clearly marked “PAIA Request”.
Include proof of identity (a copy of your ID or passport).
Describe the record you want clearly enough for us to find it.
State the form of access you prefer (email, printed copy, inspection).
Pay the request fee (see Fees below).
We will respond within the time PAIA sets after receiving a valid, complete request. If we need more time, we will notify you and explain why.
Fees
PAIA allows a private body to charge the fees prescribed in the PAIA Regulations: a request fee, and access fees for searching for, preparing and reproducing records. The amounts are set by regulation and change from time to time, so we do not repeat them here. The current schedule is published by the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za, and we will confirm the exact fee for your request in writing before any work starts.
Personal requesters (people asking for their own information) do not pay the request fee. An access fee may still apply for search and reproduction costs, and we will tell you the amount before we proceed.
